Mavka Berlin

Berlin-based initiative joining the 2026 edition.

Mavka Berlin is a Berlin-based community initiative bringing people together through volunteering, cultural exchange, and collective action. It creates spaces where people meet, share their experiences, learn from one another, and simply connect. Mavka believes in the power of volunteering to bring people together, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for civic engagement and empowerment, especially for women. Its approach is rooted in working with people rather than for people, where everyone can contribute, share their skills, and shape the community together through activities ranging from cooking and cultural events to clean-ups. Mutual support is key to Mavka’s work: by collaborating with schools, neighbourhood initiatives, other associations, and district authorities, Mavka facilitates greater collective impact
