HORA: Resonances of Resistance
16:00 – 18:00 — OSTFLÜGEL ROOM

Curated by: IN THE MOUNTAINS × HORA (Co-created by Untitled Tbilisi)
Under the HORA umbrella (from Ukrainian гора — “mountain”), this film program marks the inaugural collaborative cinema block between Ukrainian female/queer directors and the South Caucasian art ecosystem at In the Mountains.
The selection highlights artistic defiance as an act of survival. Spanning documentary, performance, and experimental fiction, these six films address the lived realities of war, imperial aggression, queer existence, intimacy, and historical trauma. By placing Ukrainian queer and feminist perspectives front and center, the program examines how marginalized communities resist external occupation while simultaneously advocating for internal equity and freedom.
