Queer Deities in Migration
21:00 - 22:00 — FESTSAAL ROOM
Queer Deities in Migration is a multidisciplinary performance project and living nomadic network that intersects ancient Caucasian mythology with contemporary queer politics. Conceptually, it uses the lens of gender-fluid divinity to reframe personal stories of displacement and integration into a collective, ritualised architecture of survival, resilience, and solidarity. This is an embodied, multi-sensory performance piece brought to life through intricate masks, specialized costumes, and transformative makeup as seven performers embody these modern deities on stage.
Initiated in 2024 the work pre-premiered its site-specific iteration at Farout Festival at BASE Milano — and is now travelling to the stage of the In the mountains festival in Berlin.
