Georgian Women in Resistance
14:00 – 21:00 — KAMINZIMMER
This exhibition centers on the voices and portraits of Georgian women political prisoners, the wives and mothers of political detainees, and the families of victims of suspicious custodial “suicide” cases. Bound together by the systemic denial of a fair trial under an increasingly authoritarian regime, these women are sharing their personal stories to expose a corrupted justice system where truth has become impossible to find domestically.
At the heart of the installation is a centerpiece Open Letter, co-signed by the families. This campaign serves as a direct call to action directed at UN representatives, EU officials, and international human rights organizations, demanding the immediate release of all political prisoners and the launch of independent international investigations into state-linked deaths.
Through art, storytelling, and strategic legal advocacy, GGWA aims to amplify these women’s voices and increase international pressure on the Georgian government.
